"Rīgas satiksme" to cut by 20% tariffs on underground parking at Kr. Valdemāra 5a ahead of Christmas

As Riga City Council organises a large scale Christmas and New Year festive programme for Riga residents and guests, "Rīgas satiksme" will cut by 20 % tariffs on underground parking at Kr.Valdemāra Street 5a from December 1, 2011 till February 1, 2012. The public transport company is convinced that it will make parking services more affordable for those who prefer to leave their cars closer to the city centre to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Christmas and New Year in the very heart of Riga.

So, from December 1, 2011 till February 1, 2012 the tariff on the underground parking services at Kr.Valdemāra Street 5a will be LVL 0.80 per hour (down from LVL 1.00), but the 24h one-month pass will cost LVL 100.00 (down from LVL 120.00), provided that the contract is signed for 12 months. "Rīgas satiksme" will also introduce special night tariff from December 1, 2011 till February 1, 2012, which provides that from 5.00 PM till 8.00 AM the tariff will be just 1.00 LVL, regardless of the number of parking hours.
